PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
The Basic Plus CPR, First Aid & AED course is to help you and your employees gain or maintain the core knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to provide effective emergency care on a victim until professional emergency medical care is available.

  • Introduction to the airway
  • Protecting/Clearing the Airway
  • Recue Breathing
  • Introduction to breathing

  • One rescuer CPR
  • Control bleeding & shock
  • Introduction to illness & injury
  • Warning signs of medical illness
  • Introduction to mechanism of injury
  • Emergency moves
  • Integrating the use of an AED
  • Basic AED operation

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
MFA course name: BasicPlus (CPR, AED & First Aid for adults)
Course completion certification: 2-Year
Course length: 5 hours (not including lunch breaks)
Class size: Up to 12
